TECHNICAL NOTE

Dye Sublimation Inkjet Inks for heat transfer printing, using with piezo drop on demand technology. Our SW-ink Series is suitable for water-based wide format inkjet printers, and SD-Ink series is suitable for Epson desktops. We recommend both SW-Inks and SD-Inks to be used with Transfer Paper which is specially coated for sublimation process.

• PRINTERS : Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland or other wide format printers of Piezo Electric Drop On Demand Technology (for SW-Inks) and Epson Desktops (for SD-Inks)
• TRANSFER PAPER : Transfer paper can greatly affect the results obtained with any dye sublimation ink. Our SW-Inks and SD-Inks will support excellent performance on all coated transfer papers those designed to use in dye sublimation printing process.

FASTNESS

Color Fastness is a measure of how permanent a color is on fabric or on printed substrate. Color could be adversely affected by number of factors including exposure to sunlight, to water, to normal washing, to wear and tear, etc and etc. Various tests assess how the color is affected by these parameters and individual value is then established to indicate the degree of color change.

Following data has been evaluated on a 105g/m2 of 100% polyester fabrics. And, heat press at 210oC(410oF) for 30 seconds. To achieve the fastnesses shown on the table, it is recommended with direct printing that the excess chemicals be eliminated by washing.
